Thinking of taking the family to LEGOLAND? Here’s a list of things you need to know about the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel. It just might help you plan for a better vacation.
#1. Scavenger hunt-
There’s a cute treasure box in each room. Inside is a LEGO kit for each child in your party. In order to open the treasure box, you’ll need to do a scavenger hunt around the hotel. You’ll receive the scavenger hunt containing questions upon check-in. So, if you’re super tired from your day of walking around the park, be prepared because the kids are going to want to do the scavenger hunt right away. I was hoping to do a quick check-in and immediately go to our room and relax for a little bit but- NOPE! So, just be prepared to do the scavenger hunt as soon as you get to the hotel.
#2. Open closet-
This might not be a big deal to you, but I was quite surprised by this feature or lack thereof. I prefer to have things tucked away and out of sight. Having a closet with no doors meant our luggage and other miscellaneous things we bought were visible at all times. It made the room looked cluttered and not as tidy as I’d like. But there had to be a reason behind this design, right??? My thought is that having an open closet made the room feel a little bit bigger. In all honestly, the room we had was quite small even though it was an upgraded suite.
#3. Free breakfast-
Your stay comes with complimentary breakfast. It’s located in Dragon’s Den restaurant on the 2nd floor. Breakfast is served from 8am to 11am. Don’t worry if you arrive at 10:55am, like we did. You’ll still be able to sit and enjoy your meal. Breakfast is served buffet style with eggs and omletes cooked to order. I was pleasantly surprised by the vast array of food options- fruits, cereal, sausages, bacon, potatoes, eggs, pacakes, waffles… I think I’m forgetting something. But it pretty much had everything you could want for your typical American style breakfast.
#4. Cabana rental-
