We tried the taiyaki & ah-boong for the first time yesterday and let me tell you- the long lines are well deserved! I totally get it now. They are THAT good.🏆⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Once we got home, we looked up the website. Turns out these are Korean style desserts.👌🏽 And because we're homeschoolers, it totally counts as social studies!😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I know, I know. I almost didn't believe it when my 8 year old told me. I'm not freaking out though. I'm early this year and have everyone's costumes ready to go!🎃⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you're local, @sheldonwineandspirits will be hosting a Trunk-orTreat on Halloween from 4-8pm. Passing out candy is one of my absolute favorite things to do so my family and I will be there volunteering and enjoying the festivities. 🍫🙌🏽⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I mean, who knew a lazy river was just a quick 30 minute drive away? It usually takes a trip to Vegas or Hawaii to find one of these bad boys! ✈

When I first discovered Milo, I knew it'd be the perfect tool for my family. It'll allow us to keep tabs on the kids when we're out exploring while also giving them more independence. I used to think that Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory was a real place that existed in America. It was one of the reasons I was excited to move here from the Philippines at the age of 7. 🍫 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We were fortunate to arrive in the US together as a family- my mom, dad and 2 sisters. It was December. I remember it being so cold and seeing my breath for the first time. 🌬⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm now at the age of my Dad when my parents decided to take on this big adventure. It wasn't until I became a parent myself that I was able to fully comprehend just how much courage it must've taken to do something like that. 🦁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Three hundred dollars. That's how much we came here with. My parents had faith that everything would work out and it did. They sacrificed, worked hard, and stayed in constant prayer. 🙏🏽⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
