I almost feel embarrassed to admit this.
We’ve never explored Paso Robles. But now that we’ve experienced this beautiful area, we’re sure to make this town part of our rotation.
Paso Robles is a city in San Luis Obispo County and is 200 miles south of San Francisco. It’s known for its abundance in wineries, olive groves and breweries. Although there is an abundance of adult libations in the area, it’s very family friendly.

We recently had the opportunity to visit the new Stables Inn at Paso Robles. Stables Inn features a cool Bunk House that can comfortably accommodate a family of 6.

The property is, in a word, adorable. My daughter excitedly announced during our visit, “It’s not a hotel, it’s a cute-tel.” And it really is. I mean, check out the chic Western vibes:

Amenities at Stables Inn includes locally roasted coffee, chilled bottles of water, and individually wrapped pastries served in the tack room.

The courtyard is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We spent our late mornings here drinking our hot cocoas. Wineglasses are also available and beautifully displayed ready for guests to use.

The location of Stables Inn is fantastic. We were only 3 blocks away from downtown and super close to everything! We were able to head out each day to explore and return quickly and easily back to the hotel. It was an amazing experience.
We showed up super late when we arrived. I’m talking 11pm late. We can blame it on the kids, right? We were greeted right away by staff and kindly walked to our room. I don’t know about you, but I always think it’s such a nice touch when a hotel actually shows you to your room. I find it so welcoming.
